His endeavors are, without fail, proof of complete creative talent. Whether he is pouring his heart out on a stage, acting behind a camera lens, or jamming in the studio, he never seems to miss a beat. Throw a different instrument in his hands? No problem. He can apparently make instruments out of just about anything.
Another cool thing about Jack White is the fact that he is consistently involved in quality projects – from the bands The White Stripes to The Raconteurs, The Dead Weather to the movie Cold Mountain. It has just been announced that he will be writing the music for Disney's upcoming The Lone Ranger (starring Johnny Depp). If we've learned anything from James Bond: Quantum of Solace, it's that Jack White can rock an opening sequence. I expect big things from his next score as well.
Another of Jack White's latest project was equally cool – he recently released his latest hit via balloon. Yes, you heard that right. Jack White decided the best way to drop his lastest single was from the sky. His team sent off 1,000 ballons in Nashville, TN, as you can see in the video below. These balloons were let go on April 1st, 2012 which is 23 days before the single was available in stores. Fewer than 100 are expect to be recovered, skyrocketing the disc's worth to as high as $4,000.
Here are some of his best recorded guitar solos. Simply awe inspiring.
Lastly, let's just appreciate how unique his music videos are. The Hardest Button to Button was the vision of Mr. White and directed by Michel Gondry. It required 32 identical amps, 16 identical microphone stands, and three 16-hour days of filming to create.
Between his quirky music videos, mind-blowing solos, wacky promotional events, and high profile projects, White proves that he is one creative character. Did I mention that he has a very large taxidermy collection?
