Joke of the Day

A helicopter carrying passengers suddenly looses engine power and the aircraft begins to decent. The pilot safely performs an emergency landing in water, and tells the passengers to remain seated and to keep the doors closed, stating that in emergency situations, the aircraft is designed to stay afloat for 30 minutes, giving rescuers time to get to them. Just then a man gets out if his seat and runs over to open the door. The pilots screams at him, "Didn't you hear what I said, the aircraft is designed to stay afloat as long as the doors remain closed?!".

"Of course I heard you", the man replied, "but it's also designed to fly, and look how good that one worked out!!"

Pro's On the Pole Are Victims Of the Recession

We have another victim of the recession -- quality pole dancers . Tragic, I know, but it's true. The blame falls on club owners looking to remain in business. Desperate for cash, owners have lowered the bar, giving practically any woman a chance to dance.

A university sociologist surveyed 200 dancers and discovered that some have "never used a pole."

"There's been a real change. The aesthetics of the dancers has overtaken, as well as the skills of flirting and chatting."

University of YouTube

A middle school girl in Dallas has been charged after she admitted to piercing the belly button of a fellow classmate. She told authorities that she had piercing supplies delivered to her home and had planned on piercing a few more students in time for spring break. Did I mention she got all the training she needed by watching a video on YouTube?

Phones/Facebook: What's the strangest thing you ever learned to do by watching a video on YouTube?

Women Are Lazy

Talk about THIS around the dinner table tonight. A new study out of Oregon State University found that women are far LESS likely to exercise for 30 minutes every day than men. While men got 30 minutes, women averaged 18.

One COULD argue, and one MAY have a point that women are constantly moving at home picking up after Mr. Fitness while getting the kids fed and dressed. So that may balance out the equation a big.

Ban the Babies!

Malaysia Airlines will get a standing ovation from single, intolerant adults for this one -- they're banning children from the top deck of its A380 planes. Nobody under 12 allowed.

Phones/Facebook: You have to think this is the first step to adult-only flights. Would you be willing to pay full price for a ticket knowing you wouldn't hear a screaming baby?

Ironic that this comes just days after a Canadian airline released an April Fools video advertising 'Kargo Kids," a service which places children in the cargo area along with luggage so adults can enjoy a peaceful flight.

Phoner/Facebook/Twitter idea

Who is the strangest person you follow on Twitter or Facebook? I recently added, and I'm not proud of it, Anthony Field, the Blue Wiggle, to my follow list. The reason -- after he takes off the blue Wiggle uniform, the guy is hilarious. What about you? Who's the strangest person, or animal, you follow on Twitter or Facebook?
