Johnny Depp has plenty of musical skill and has played a few gigs with big names in the past. Last year, the actor signed on with Alice Cooper for one night, playing songs like "I'm 18" at a gig in London. More recently, however, the 48 year-old rocked out in a feathered fedora and other concert attire on stage with none other than Marilyn Manson, who treated audiences to some of his biggest hits.
Depp joined the band during Revolver Magazine's Golden God Awards Show, playing guitar on "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" and "Beautiful People," and generally seeming to have a good time. At first the actor is sort of hanging in the backdrop and doing his own thing; but later, Manson makes a point to make Depp's presence more of a spotlight, eventually even showing a surprisingly emotional hugging display before the Depp headed offstage.
I almost hate to send you to watch either of these videos, as Manson is far past his performing heyday and "Sweet Dreams" in particular is a rather grating performance in terms of vocals. However, both Manson and Depp seem to be having a pretty good time on stage. The rapport should be fun to watch, even if the vocals are lacking. Who wouldn't dig watching a dude in face paint play with another dude hiding under a fedora?
