Remember when the concert Gods had smiled on me? Well they continue to do me good favors. I've recently bought the new Norah Jones and Jason Mraz, and of course Alabama Shakes.
Just this week alone I bought the new John Mayer and Kimbra CDs. And downloaded an EP from Sara Barielles. I would have preferred a CD but Target didn't have it and it was only 5 songs so I tried Google Play and it was miles easier than fiddling with iTunes. BOOOO ITUNES!
The Sara B. EP is of course great. Including a song about assholes. This isn't on the EP, but I mean just listen to her.
During the Van Hunt concert the DJ was doing that thing where they play the video with the music. And it was all meh then we saw this…
and then I was like "I need this in my life".
So I went to the YouTube. Kimbra is the chick that sings on Gotye's Somebody that I used to Know. And at the time I didn't even know that song despite its awesomness. Anyway so I bought the cd and so far it's good. It's not as souly as I thought it would be, but it's good stuff. And it makes Addy clap her hands in the back seat.
Both of these ladies have overshadowed John because he has funny fake Johnny Depp hair this CD.
And Amazon let me know there were new books from Jen Lancaster, Jennifer Weiner, AND Emily Giffin coming this summer. So the book gods are shining down on me too.
