NEW YORK: It was not a great moment for Captain Jack Sparrow. The stylish Johnny Depp was punched by his own bodyguard outside Ed Sullivan Theater in New York. The embarrassing moment came in front of the fans and public as a source said he looked startled.
Johnny Depp is presently very busy with his last release Transcendence and is not very happy with the reviews coming in. He was attending fans outside the theater and signing autographs for them. However, the situation becomes bitter and few of fans came very close to him for signing photographs. The incident prompted his bodyguard to step in. He tried to push back the crowd from Depp but when the crowd turned angry to get the autographs, he punched. He wanted to punch the crowd, but accidentally his heavy hand landed on Johnny Depp’s face. The punch although served its purpose and the crowd became silent.
That must have been an embarrassing moment for Johnny Depp. One hires bodyguard so that they do not get punched, but getting punched from own bodyguard is quite different. Depp may consider of refraining his public appearance for some days now.
Transcendence is heading towards another Mega Budget Flop this season and critics blame the storyline of the movie. Critics say that the movie has nothing new to offer and despite Johnny’s excellent performance it has eventually lost its credibility. Transcendence may become another huge flop after The Lone Ranger which also failed to make its mark in the Box Office.
