Mar 29th 2012, 16:35 A slew of new character posters have been released for Warner Bros' upcoming release of Dark Shadows, involving the entire main cast. The posters have drab grey architecture (and armchair) fused with vivid colours, each adding a little more detail behind the characters. If anything, we're probably left wondering why Michelle Pfeiffer's character is holding a shotgun! Even the film's tagline is highlighted. Click for higher resolutions. 
In 1752, Barnabas Collins (Johnny Depp) is the head of Collinwood Manor. Rich and powerful, he makes the mistake of breaking the heart of the witch Angelique Bouchard (Eva Green), who turns him into a vampire and then buries him alive. Over two centuries later, Barnabas awakes from his tomb to find that it is 1972, and Collinwood Manor has fallen into ruin, with the dysfunctional Collins family, each hiding secrets of their own. Directed by Tim Burton, Dark Shadows is released on May 11th.
