I don't watch a lot of television, but I do like
Dancing with the Stars. Typically, I have it on in the background while I write, the sound lowered except when the couples I'm interested in watching take their turns.
Over the past seasons, there have been a few stars who've captured my attention. Kelly Osbourne quick-stepped and waltzed her way from wild child to lady, and the love expressed between her and her parents (and especially her dad) as they sat in the audience and cheered her on was wonderful to witness. Chaz Bono showed courage just by showing up, and Donny Osmond, who I adored when I was 12, made me realize that I'm not the only one who is really just a taller version of my nerdy childhood self.
I've got a wish list of celebs who I'd like to see twirling and strutting on DWTS. A few that come to mind with all of, well, two minutes preparation (Hey! Maybe next April I'll write some of my stuff ahead like the smarter A-Zers did this time!) include:
- Johnny Depp: Really, does this surprise anyone?
- Alicia Silverstone: I've actually wanted to see her on the show for several seasons, way before her current "I feed my child like a robin in a nest" front pageness.
- Bill Cosby: Must have oldish guy, check. Cool oldish guy, though.
- Mike Ditka: Oldish guy, take two. I like Mike.
- Drew Barrymore: Love her.
- John Cusack: I'll bet he'd be surprisingly good.
- Katie Holmes: A Tom Cruise deprogramming opportunity.
- Kellie Martin: And I want her to wear the red Becca glasses for at least one dance.
- Jonathan Lipnicki: He's come a long way from the cute little kid in Jerry Maguire.
- Betty White: Because everything's better with Betty.

I'm blogging my way from A-Z. Please check out some of the other A-Z'ers.
One blog every day, that's all you have to do: NaBloPoMo
And hey, this counts for this week's GBE topic, "Dancing." If you'd like to blog with us, just clickety-click. All are welcome!
One more thing: You wouldn't like it if someone stole your words, so please don't steal the work of photographers and graphic artists to provide images for your blog. Photo courtesy of Morgue File, which offers lots of wonderful, free images for public usage.
