The magical duo of Danny Elfman and Tim Burton collaborate again for Burton's Dark Shadows, to great success. Elfman, who is behind other Burton soundtracks like Pee Wee's Big Adventure, Batman, Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, and The Night Before Christmas, sets the tone for the dark comedy starring Johnny Depp. Just by the sounds of the 90 second clips, the music definitely adds a subversive gothic element to the comedic moments in the trailer.
Hitting theaters on May 11th, Dark Shadows is based on the ABC series that aired from 1966 to 1971, the film also stars Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter, Eva Green, Jackie Earle Haley, Jonny Lee Miller, Bella Heathcote, Chloe Moretz and Gulliver McGrath.
