Ever since I've seen the trailer for Tim Burton's Dark Shadows, I'm getting more and more excited to see the movie. When the first set of production stills came out, I had thought it would be a serious horror film but it turns out that it's a comedy.
In the movie, Barnabas Collins (Johnny Depp) lives a lavish life as one of the richest men in Maine. As a playboy, he crossed paths with Angelique Bouchard (Eva Green) and he broke her heart. In revenge, being a witch she turned him into vampire then buried him alive. Two centuries later, Barnabas returns to his manor to find his home and the family business in ruins. Together with what remains of the family, he sought to resurrect the family business but is constantly thwarted by Angelique. During this endeavour, Barnabas learns about the secrets his blood relatives have on their own too.
