Clearly, Kris Van Assche watched Johnny Depp’s Cry-Baby more than once, ’cause the lookbook for the brand’s collaboration Spring/Summer 2013 line with Lee has the undeniable aesthetic of an updated ’50s greaser-chic.
Despite its vast incorporation of denim in its menswear, the collaborative shirts, pants, and jackets are free of menswear’s of-the-moment obsession with workwear. Instead, the pieces lean towards the sort of tailoring you’d expect on a suit, with slim fits through the torso & legs.
We’re stoked on the Belgian house’s choice to reconvene its collaboration with American-born Lee. That brand has remained relatively ignored in recent years as its domestic denim counterparts received attention from higher-end fashion brands.
No specifics on where to buy yet, but assume that like the FW12 collab, it’ll be available at select Lee & Kris Van Assche stockists.
