The 113 minute comedy horror flick directed by Tim Burton is a must watch this season. Based on 1966–1971 gothic horror, the movie stars Eva Green, Johnny Depp and Michelle Pfeiffer. Warner Bros acquired the rights for the film from Dan Curtis and the production started. The flick was made with a thought that it will please many but it ends up riling fans of the soap opera.
Depp plays the role of a 200 year old vampire Barnabas Collins and Michelle plays his cousin as Elizabeth Collins Stoddard. The imprisoned vampire played by Depp is set free and he goes to his ancestral home. There all his dysfunctional descendants need his protection.
Eva Green plays the character of a bitter witch named Angelique Bouchard who plots a campaign against the Collins family. The movie revolves around the planning and plotting and how Collins rescue their descendants. Dark Shadows was released on May 10th and has received a good response ever since.
