Look at his performance in 12 Monkeys and Fight Club, he can play compelling, intimidating, insane, dark characters, plus he has the star power. I think he'd be a great nemesis against Christian Bale.
I could picture Pitt as a criminal mastermind, much more than Leonardo Dicaprio.
